Rosie Birthday Party

In case you missed my previous post on making balloon Garlands, I am completely obsessed. Here’s a link to my tutorial on it a couple of months ago. Anyway, we had so much fun making this one for Miss Rose’s Party, and she of coarse LOVED it! But I guess I am still having a hard time wrapping my brain around where on earth time has gone! I can’t believe she is 3!! All she wanted for her birthday was a Cinderella Dress up dress, and a new Dollie… So we got her a American Girl Doll that looks just like her! Its a Rosie Dollie! We love it!

Baby Rose turns 3!

ok, this post might be several months late, but you know, as I said in my last post… things have been busy. But I hate passing up these cute photos of my little babe!

Her dress is from my fav TuTu Du Monde

Where did I go?

Where have I been? I have even been asking myself that! I started 2018 with a vision and new path that I was going to take with my life, and then life ended up having a different path for me. haha! I started the year with lots of personal care goals, and fun ideas for creating a blog, and it got a little derailed in May when we closed on an investment we made into a business and then the plan for the business, didn’t go according to plan. haha! So we have ended up working full time to get this business updated and working again, and it has literally consumed our lives 24/7 ever since. So needless to say, there hasn’t been any self care going on and obviously no time for blogging or doing photography. BUT here we are, and we are moving in a good direction with our business… Infact, the opportunity presented itself several months ago to be able to add a second venue, and that has been very exciting!! Its an amazing venue, and we honestly can’t wait to open the doors in December 2018.

So what is it this new business? We invested in a Wedding and Event business. There are a lot of moving parts to this business, and we have been trying to consolidate everything under the name Knot & Pine Weddings and Events. Our primary Venue is a place called 5th East Hall in  American Fork. This venue also has a Bed & Breakfast attached, that includes 5 themed suites. So it makes for a great place for guests to stay after their reception, or come back to celebrate their anniversary or other special occasion.

Our business also offers other services like Catering, Floral, and we honestly makes the yummiest cakes! We do wedding cakes, or cakes for any other special event. We also do event rentals, like tables, chairs, linens, ceiling and wall panels and lighting etc. Basically anything you need for a wedding, we can do it! And now we are adding this second venue at the Alpine Barn, in Alpine Utah. The space is currently under going construction, so follow along our Instagram account @knotandpine for fun updates on that. If your a interior design lover like myself, you’ll love following along the transformation of both of these spaces! Theres a lot to do, but transforming a space, is something I love doing!

So anyway, so thats where I have been. I am grateful for the opportunities I  am now getting to learn new skills, but it has been a challenge to say the least. I am however, always grateful for all the love and support that is shown to us! Thanks for being patient with is as we have adapted to this new change in our life.

I have loved learning to do more wedding florals. Its been a challenge, but its fun getting to be creative.
and of coarse, I honestly really love our cakes!!

Bedroom remodel/ Before and Afters

When we built our house, Cameron decided he wanted to do grey stripes in his room. We had this on his walls in our last house, and he wanted his new room to look just like his old one. However, It just never looked right to me in this new space, and the gray made his room feel really dark and cold. In addition to that, he has been growing so fast that he was completely outgrowing his twin bed….So for his Bday, we decided to get him a bigger bed and re-do his room. We did it all ourselves and Cam gave alot of input and I loved working on this project with him! It was so fun to watch it all come together!

His room BEFORE:First, we covered the stripes with shiplap paneling, 4’x8′ panelsSo grateful for a helpful hubby! He is super handy and I am so grateful that he is always willing to help me with my projects. haha! Also, my little ladies were super good helpers too! We bought a little paint gun at Home Depot that helped us so much with priming and painting this much shiplap.. Little miss LOVES to help! 😉 Even in assembling furniture. I always get so excited by a blank slate… We found this bed on Joss and Main and the bookcase and nightstand from RHteen. The finished product! YAY! I love the creativity of accessorizing and finding the right colors and textures. We took the picture above his bed when we were up the canyon taking pics for Cameron’s birthday in March, and it turned into my inspiration for the whole room. I framed it and put it above the bed because I just loved how it turned out. The sun hit my lens so beautifully that night!! Cameron Loves Kayaking and being in the mountains, so it fit perfectly. One of my other favorite finds was the custom print we had made by a company called The Night Sky.  They take the night your child was born and give you the way the sky looked that night from your location. Its so cool and I loved this and I knew Cameron would too. I found most of this at Target! 🙂My good friend, Nabby, helped me sew the window seat cushion and pillows! She is seriously one of the most talented people I know and I was so grateful to have her help with this project. And of coarse I couldn’t resist a couple pics of my little Rosie buddy helper.
